4.2.2 - The repository shall have a description of how AIPs are constructed from SIPs.

The CLOCKSS archive has a single class of AIP, called an Archival Unit (AU), documented in Definition of AIP. Part of that documentation describes the two different processes that create AUs (AIPs) from the two different types of SIP used by the CLOCKSS archive. The process for maintaining this document is described in LOCKSS: Software Development Process. Further details may be found in CLOCKSS: Ingest Pipeline.
