4.2.5.2 - The repository shall have tools or methods to determine what Representation Information is necessary to make each Data Object understandable to the Designated Community.

Definition of AIP documents single type of AIP used by the CLOCKSS archive, the Archival Unit (AU). It includes a definition of the Representation Information that must be preserved with each content object in a CLOCKSS AU in order that the Knowledge Base of the Designated Community may make the content understandable, and how this information is generated during the addition of a content object from an SIP to an AU.
