4.3.3.1 - The repository shall have mechanisms for creating, identifying or gathering any extra Representation Information required.
In the context of the CLOCKSS archive, a requirement for extra Representation Information could arise only as a result of one or more of the formats identified by the CLOCKSS daemon's integrated File Identification Tool Set (FITS) suffering looming obsolescence. The form that the extra information would take would be as a format convertor from the obsolescent format to some less obsolete format. In that event the LOCKSS team would either locate a suitable convertor, or write one.
