4.5.3 Create bi-directional linkages between each AIP and its descriptive information
From CLOCKSS Trusted Digital Repository Documents
4.5.3 - The repository shall create bi-directional linkages between each AIP and its descriptive information.
The descriptive information of interest for each AIP is:
- Bibliographic metadata, which is:
- contained in the Content Information. and thus persistently associated with it(see Definition of SIP),
- extracted as described in LOCKSS: Extracting Bibliographic Metadata,
- and stored in the LOCKSS: Metadata Database on each CLOCKSS box.
- Queries to the database can return the AU (AIP) identifier from which the AU can be located on that box, and supply the bibliographic metadata for a given AU identifier.
- Preservation Description Information (PDI), which is discussed in Definition of AIP. Given an AU identifier, the PDI can be located. The PDI includes Reference Information.
